Conversely, imbalanced blood sugar levels can also affect thyroid function. It’s a complex relationship, but by addressing both conditions concurrently through proper dietary choices and lifestyle adjustments, we can work towards balanced hormones.
How does the thyroid regulate blood sugar?
The thyroid, a small gland located in the neck, wields significant influence over blood sugar regulation through its intricate control of various metabolic processes in the body. Its primary hormones, thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3), are instrumental in determining the body’s metabolic rate.
